Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy ordered the TGSRTC officials to prepare the plans for the purchase of new buses to meet the growing demand for public transportation in the state. The Chief Minister suggested to the RTC authorities to take into consideration the demand for bus travel and new travel routes before purchasing the buses.
The CM held a review on TGSRTC at the State Secretariat on Tuesday. The Chief Minister inquired about the occupancy rate in the buses under the Mahalakshmi scheme which provides free travel on the RTC buses. State Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar briefed the CM about the implementation of the Mahalakshmi scheme saying that 83.42 crore women travelled free of cost on RTC buses. The scheme helped women to save Rs 2,840. 71 crore. The government has been implementing the scheme successfully in 7,292 RTC buses.
In the PowerPoint presentation, the minister explained that the number of women coming to hospitals in Hyderabad from various districts has increased. The minister also showed the articles published in the newspapers on the successful implementation of the Mahalakshmi scheme in the presentation.
The RTC officials briefed the CM about the utilization of funds from various banks, employees-provided funds and pending dues to be paid to the retired employees. In all, the debts accumulated to the tune of Rs 6,332 crore for the RTC. In view of the high interest rate on the loans borrowed from the banks, the Chief Minister asked the officials to conduct a study on reducing the interest rates and restructuring the debts.
CM Revanth Reddy wanted the debt burden on the Corporation to be gradually reduced. Officials informed the CM that the RTC is earning profits with the increase of occupancy rate and the reimbursement paid by the government for the Mahalakshmi scheme. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Chief Minister’s Secretaries Chandrasekhar Reddy, Shanawaz Qasim, Transport Department Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, TGRTC MD Sajjanar and other officials participated in the review.

టీజీ ఆర్టీసీపై రాష్ట్ర స‌చివాల‌యంలో ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి మంగ‌ళ‌వారం స‌మీక్ష నిర్వ‌హించారు. మ‌హాల‌క్ష్మి పథకం మ‌హిళ‌లు వినియోగించుకుంటున్న తీరుపై ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి ఆరా తీశారు. మ‌హాల‌క్ష్మి పథకం అద్భుతంగా ఉంద‌ని, ఇప్ప‌టి వ‌ర‌కు 83.42 కోట్ల మంది మ‌హిళ‌లు ఉచితంగా ప్ర‌యాణం చేశార‌ని, ఇందుకు సంబంధించి మ‌హిళా ప్ర‌యాణికుల‌కు రూ.2,840.71 కోట్లు ఆదా అయ్యాయ‌ని మంత్రి రాష్ట్ర ర‌వాణా శాఖ మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్ర‌భాక‌ర్ తెలిపారు. ఆర్టీసీలో 7,292 బ‌స్సుల్లో మ‌హాల‌క్ష్మి పథకం వ‌ర్తిస్తోంద‌ని ఆయ‌న వివ‌రించారు. మ‌హాల‌క్ష్మి పథకం ప్రారంభ‌మైన త‌ర్వాత వివిధ జిల్లాల నుంచి హైద‌రాబాద్‌లోని ఆసుప‌త్రుల‌కు వ‌స్తున్న మ‌హిళ‌ల సంఖ్య పెరుగుతోంద‌ని, అందుకు సంబంధించి ప‌త్రిక‌ల్లో వ‌చ్చిన క‌థ‌నాల‌ను ముఖ్య‌మంత్రికి అధికారులు ప‌వ‌ర్‌పాయింట్ ప్ర‌జంటేష‌న్ లో చూపారు. అనంత‌రం వివిధ బ్యాంకులు, ఉద్యోగుల భ‌విష్య‌త్ నిధి ఖాతా నుంచి వాడుకున్న నిధులు, విశ్రాంత ఉద్యోగుల‌కు చెల్లించాల్సిన బ‌కాయిలు త‌దిత‌రాలకు క‌లిపి రూ.6,322 కోట్ల రుణాలు ఉన్న‌ట్లు అధికారులు వివ‌రించారు. బ్యాంకుల నుంచి తీసుకున్న రుణాల‌కు చెల్లిస్తున్న వ‌డ్డీ రేటు ఎక్కువ‌గా ఉంద‌ని.. వ‌డ్డీ రేట్ల త‌గ్గింపు, అప్పుల రీక‌న్‌స్ట్రక్చ‌న్‌పై అధ్య‌య‌నం చేయాల‌ని ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి ఆదేశించారు. సంస్థ‌పై క్ర‌మంగా రుణ‌భారం త‌గ్గించాల‌ని ఆయ‌న సూచించారు. మ‌హాల‌క్ష్మి ప‌థ‌కంతో ఆక్యుపెన్సీ రేటు పెర‌గ‌డంతో పాటు ప్ర‌భుత్వం చెల్లిస్తున్న రీయింబ‌ర్స్‌మెంట్‌తో సంస్థ లాభాల్లోకి వ‌స్తోంద‌ని అధికారులు తెలిపారు. స‌మీక్ష‌లో రాష్ట్ర ప్ర‌భుత్వ ప్ర‌ధాన కార్య‌ద‌ర్శి శాంతికుమారి, ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి కార్య‌ద‌ర్శులు చంద్ర‌శేఖ‌ర్‌రెడ్డి, షాన‌వాజ్ ఖాసీం, ర‌వాణా శాఖ ప్ర‌త్యేక ప్ర‌ధాన కార్య‌ద‌ర్శి వికాస్ రాజ్‌, టీజీఎస్ ఆర్టీసీ ఎండీ స‌జ్జ‌నార్, ఇత‌ర అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
