In one of the major landmarks breakthroughs during the trip to the United States of America, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and World Bank President Ajay Banga held discussions here and decided to forge a roadmap by which that the state and bank could partner on several fronts, and projects, to make a positive, ambitious and highly impactful outcome on lives of over four crore people.
The potential areas for partnership being outlined through explorations and deliberations would include initiatives on skills development, urban rejuvenation and reimagination, Net Zero developments, citizens’ healthcare, diagnostics and electronic records, among others.
In the over an hour-long meeting, between the head of World Bank and the Chief Minister and his team, it was decided to create setup cross-functional team to conceptualise viable projects in each of the areas in an accelerated mode. People, planet, sustainability, health, skills and jobs were the major themes of the discussions between the two visionary leaders.
The World Bank backing would give a massive fill-up to several of the key visions of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, including the Musi River rejuvenation project, Skill University, Future City, Citizen Healthcare and development of Hyderabad 4.0.
The World Bank, while expressing delight and optimism of the balanced vision of Chief Minister for Telangana and Hyderabad, highlighted how the bank has had enjoyed success in generating positive outcomes in the region with several project initiatives earlier. He also showcased great interest in backing the vision for the creation of a Net Zero city.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed delight after the marquee endorsement on several key initiatives of the state, and promised to ensure each project is followed up on mission mode to ensure ambitious impact and outcomes but with highest transparency.
It is the first time the state of Telangana has chosen to explore working with any of the Bretton Woods institution. The Telangana team gave an overview of several other developments which impact the lives and livelihood of citizens, environment and sustainability in the state.
IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Telangana Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari, and other officials including Jayesh Ranjan, Ramakrishna Rao, V. Sheshadri, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy and Ajith Reddy attended.
World Bank executive director Parameswaran (‘Param’) Iyer, who also attended the discussions, praised the Telangana government for its holistic, balanced, sustainable and impactful vision keeping state and people first.

తెలంగాణ భవిష్యత్తు అభివృద్ధి ప్రణాళికల్లో భాగస్వామ్యం పంచుకునేందుకు ప్రపంచ బ్యాంక్ సంసిద్ధతను వ్యక్తం చేసింది. అమెరికా పర్యటనలో ఉన్న ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి, ప్రపంచ బ్యాంక్ అధ్యక్షుడు అజయ్ బంగాతో ప్రత్యేకంగా సమావేశమయ్యారు. వివిధ అంశాలపై దాదాపు గంటసేపు చర్చలు జరిపారు. రాష్ట్రంలో చేపట్టే వివిధ ప్రాజెక్టులకు కలిసికట్టుగా రోడ్ మ్యాప్ను రూపొందించాలని ఈ సందర్భంగా నిర్ణయించారు. ప్రధానంగా స్కిల్ డెవెలప్మెంట్, రివర్ ఫ్రంట్ ప్రాజెక్టు, నెట్ జీరో సిటీ, ఆరోగ్య సంరక్షణ, డయాగ్నస్టిక్స్, హెల్త్ ప్రొఫైల్ రంగాల్లో భాగస్వామ్యానికి అవసరమైన సంప్రదింపులు జరిగాయి.
ముఖ్యమంత్రితో పాటు ఐటీ, పరిశ్రమల శాఖ మంత్రి డి. శ్రీధర్ బాబు, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శాంతి కుమారి, పరిశ్రమల శాఖ ముఖ్య కార్యదర్శి జయేష్ రంజన్, ఆర్థిక శాఖ ముఖ్య కార్యదర్శి రామకృష్ణారావు, సీఎంవో ఉన్నతాధికారులు శేషాద్రి, విష్ణు వర్ధన్ రెడ్డి, అజిత్ రెడ్డి ఈ సమావేశంలో పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ప్రజల జీవన ప్రమాణాలు, పర్యావరణం, జీవనోపాధి, నైపుణ్యాల వృద్ధి, ఉద్యోగాలు, ఆర్థిక సుస్థిరత తో పాటు వివిధ అంశాలపై చర్చించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ, ఇటీవల తమ ప్రభుత్వం చేపట్టిన ప్రతిష్టాత్మక కార్యక్రమాలన్నీఎంతో ప్రాధాన్యాన్ని సంతరించుకున్నాయని చెప్పారు. ప్రజలకు ఇచ్చిన మాట ప్రకారం తాము చేపట్టబోయే ప్రాజెక్టులన్నీ యుద్ధప్రాతిపదికన అమలు చేసి తీరుతామని ప్రకటించారు. అన్నింటిలోనూ అత్యంత పారదర్శకతను పాటిస్తామని స్పష్టం చేశారు. ప్రాంతాల వారీగా చేపట్టే ప్రాజెక్టుల సాధ్యాసాధ్యాలు, వాటి అమలును వేగవంతం చేసేందుకు వివిధ విభాగాలకు చెందిన నిపుణుల బృందం ఏర్పాటు చేయాలనే ఆలోచనలను ప్రపంచబ్యాంకు బృందంతో పంచుకున్నారు.
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంతో పాటు హైదరాబాద్ అభివృద్ధికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి అనుసరిస్తున్న సమతుల్య దృక్పథం మంచి ఫలితాలను అందిస్తుందని ప్రపంచ బ్యాంకు బృందం ఆశాభావం వ్యక్తం చేసింది. గతంలో భారత్ లో తమ భాగస్వామ్యంతో చేపట్టిన వివిధ ప్రాజెక్టులు సానుకూల ఫలితాలు అందించాయని గుర్తు చేసింది. చర్చల సందర్భంగా నెట్ జీరో సిటీ అభివృద్ధిపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి చూపిన చొరవపై ప్రపంచ బ్యాంకు బృందం మరింత ఆసక్తిని ప్రదర్శించింది.
ప్రజా పాలనతో పాటు రాష్ట్రంలో సమగ్ర సమతుల్య అభివృద్ధికి తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం అనుసరిస్తున్న తీరును చర్చల్లో పాలుపంచుకున్న ప్రపంచ బ్యాంక్ ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ డైరెక్టర్ పరమేశ్వరన్ అయ్యర్ ప్రశంసించారు.
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం ప్రపంచ బ్యాంకు లాంటి అంతర్జాతీయ ద్రవ్యసంస్థలతో కలిసి పని చేయాలని నిశ్చయించటం ఇదే మొదటి సారి. తెలంగాణలో మూసీ పునరుజ్జీవన ప్రాజెక్ట్, స్కిల్ యూనివర్శిటీ, సిటిజన్ హెల్త్‌కేర్, హైదరాబాద్ 4.0 ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీ అభివృద్ధికి ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ఇప్పటికే ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి సారించారు. ఈ కీలకమైన ప్రాజెక్టులకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి అనుసరిస్తున్న భవిష్యత్తు వ్యూహాలకు ప్రపంచ బ్యాంకు మద్దతు మరింత ఊతమివ్వనుంది.
