Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy emphasized the need to reconstruct the socially and economically destroyed Telangana. The Chief Minister appealed to the police to play a vital role in rebuilding the ruined Telangana state.
The CM attended as the chief guest at the get -together programme of the IPS officers held in Hyderabad today (Thursday). Speaking on this occasion, CM Sri Revanth Reddy said that the government will not mount pressure on the police and will not treat them as Subordinates in the current dispensation. The power given by people will be utilized as an opportunity to serve the citizens by involving everyone. The government is ready to receive suggestions and advice from the police in the development and reconstruction of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the state has suffered economically and socially in the past ten years and it is time to get rid of Telangana state from the desolated situation. The CM urged the police officers to play an active role in the government’s endeavour to make Telangana as the fastest developing state in the country. Police are requested to clamp down on the sale of narcotic drugs and promote Hyderabad as a drug free city.
The CM appealed to the police to free the young men and women from drug abuse and also curb the growing cyber crime which posed a big threat to the society every day.
The CM suggested that the police use the available advanced technology and to study the methods followed in the developed countries to check cyber crime.
CM Sri Revanth Reddy appreciated the police for constantly working hard to maintain law and order in the state. The CM assured the police that the government is always ready to address their grievances.

ఆర్థికంగా, సామాజికంగా విధ్వంసమైన తెలంగాణను పునర్‌ నిర్మించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని, ఇందులో పోలీసులు కీలక పాత్ర పోషించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ ఏ. రేవంత్‌ రెడ్డి పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ఈరోజు హైదరాబాద్‌లో జరిగిన ఐపీఎస్ ఆఫీసర్ల గెట్‌ టు గెదర్ కార్యక్రమానికి సీఎం ముఖ్య అతిథిగా హాజరయ్యారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ.. పోలీసులపై ప్రభుత్వ పెత్తనం ఉండబోదన్నారు. తాము పాలకులం కాబట్టి, పోలీసులను సబార్డినేట్లుగా చూసే పద్ధతి తమ ప్రభుత్వంలో ఉండదన్నారు. ప్రజలకు సేవ చేసేందుకు వచ్చిన ఓ అవకాశంగా మాత్రమే ఈ అధికారాన్ని తాము భావిస్తున్నామని, ప్రజలకు సేవ చేయడంలో అందరినీ కలుపుకుపోతామని సీఎం అన్నారు. రాష్ట్ర అభివృద్ధి, పునర్‌ నిర్మాణంలో పోలీసులు ఇచ్చే సలహాలు, సూచనలను వినమ్రంగా స్వీకరిస్తామని సీఎం అన్నారు.
గత పదేండ్ల కాలంలో రాష్ట్రం ఆర్థికంగా, సామాజికంగా దెబ్బతిన్నదని, ఈ పరిస్థితి నుంచి తెలంగాణను బయటపడేయాల్సిన సమయం వచ్చిందని సీఎం అన్నారు. ఈ పనిలో పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్లు క్రియాశీలక పాత్ర పోషించాలని కోరారు. రాష్ట్రంలో డ్రగ్స్ క్రయ విక్రయాలపై ఉక్కుపాదం మోపాలని, హైదరాబాద్‌ను డ్రగ్స్ ఫ్రీ సిటీగా చేయాలని వారికి సూచించారు. యువతీ, యువకులను డ్రగ్స్ వ్యసనం నుంచి బయటపడేయాలన్నారు. రోజురోజుకు సైబర్ క్రైమ్స్‌ అతిపెద్ద ముప్పుగా పరిణమించాయని, వాటిని అరికట్టెందుకు కట్టుదిట్టమైన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని పోలీసు ఆఫీసర్లకు సీఎం విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ఇందుకోసం అందుబాటులో ఉన్న ఆధునిక టెక్నాలజీని వినియోగించుకోవాలని, అభివృద్ధి చెందిన దేశాల్లో అనుసరిస్తున్న పద్ధతులపై అధ్యయనం చేయాలని సూచించారు.
శాంతి భద్రతల పరిరక్షణ కోసం పోలీసులు నిరంతరం కష్టపడుతున్నారని సీఎం అభినందించారు. పోలీసుల సమస్యలు తెలుసుకోవడానికి, వాటిని పరిష్కరించడానికి ప్రభుత్వం ఎల్లప్పుడూ సిద్ధంగా ఉంటుందన్నారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో డీజీపీ శ్రీ రవి గుప్తా, అడిషనల్ డీజీ శ్రీ శివధర్రెడ్డి, సీఐడీ అడిషనల్ డీజీ శ్రీమతి షికా గోయల్, హైదరాబాద్ సీపీ శ్రీ కొత్తకోట శ్రీనివాసరెడ్డి, ఇతర పోలీసు అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
