Hurdles for the construction of the Skywalk at Mehdipatnam in Hyderabad City cleared. The HMDA announced the construction of Skyway soon. The proposal to build a Skyway for the safety of pedestrians has been pending due to the increased traffic congestion. The Defence Department has not agreed to give their lands located in the Rythu Bazar area for years. Efforts made by the previous government for the transfer of 0.51 acre of defence land were futile. As a result, the work of the skywalk was not yet started and the traffic problem at the busy Mehdipatnam Rythu Bazar area increased every day.
Honourable Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy focused on the measures to overcome traffic congestion in the city. During his Delhi visit on January 5th, the Chief Minister met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and brought to the notice of pending transfer of defense land. The Defence minister responded positively after explaining the need to transfer the Defence lands to Telangana Government. The CM made many changes in the design of the skyway in accordance with the suggestions from the union government without disturbing the defence zone. The revised proposals have been sent to the Center recently.
The centre approved the allotment of land required for the construction of the Skyway today (Wednesday). A total of 3380 square yards of land will be handed over to the Telangana government. In lieu of transferred lands, the Center will provide infrastructure worth Rs.15.15 crore to the Defense wing. The rule of payment of license fee for ten years for some land is also effected. The Ministry of Defence agreed to hand over the land within four weeks.
With the approval from the centre, the major obstacle to the Mehdipatnam SkyWalk work has been removed. The traffic problem will be solved at Rythu Bazar Junction which is the most important part of the Mumbai highway soon. The Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to take up the construction of this skyway at the earliest.
హైదరాబాద్ సిటీలో మెహదీపట్నంలో స్కై వాక్ నిర్మాణానికి లైన్ క్లియర్ అయింది. త్వరలోనే స్కై వే నిర్మించనున్నట్లు హెచ్ఎండిఏ ప్రకటించింది. పెరిగిన ట్రాఫిక్ రద్దీ కారణంగా రోడ్లపై నడిచి వెళ్లే వారి భద్రత దృష్ట్యా ఇక్కడ స్కై వే నిర్మించాలనే ప్రతిపాదనలు ఎప్పటినుంచే ఉన్నాయి. రైతు బజార్ ప్రాంతంలో ఉన్న తమ భూములను ఇచ్చేందుకు కేంద్ర రక్షణ శాఖ అంగీకరించకపోవటంతో పీటముడి పడింది. రక్షణ శాఖ పరిధిలోని 0.51 ఎకరాల స్థలం తమకు బదిలీ చేయాలని గత ప్రభుత్వం చేసిన ప్రయత్నాలు ఫలించలేదు. కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం స్పందించకపోవటంతో స్కై వాక్ పనులు నిలిచిపోయాయి. దీంతో అత్యంత రద్దీ ఉండే మెహదీపట్నం రైతు బజార్ ప్రాంతంలో ట్రాఫిక్ సమస్య రోజురోజుకు పెరిగిపోయింది.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అధికారం చేపట్టిన వెంటనే సిటీలో ట్రాఫిక్ రద్దీని అధిగమించే చర్యలపై ప్రత్యేకంగా దృష్టి పెట్టారు. జనవరి 5వ తేదీన ఢిల్లీకి వెళ్లినప్పుడు ప్రత్యేకంగా రక్షణ శాఖ మంత్రిని కలిశారు. అక్కడున్న రక్షణ శాఖ భూములను తమకు బదిలీ చేయాల్సిన అవసరాన్ని వివరించటంతో మంత్రి సానుకూలంగా స్పందించారు. అక్కడున్న ఢిఫెన్స్ జోన్ కు ఇబ్బంది లేకుండా కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం సూచించిన మార్పులకు అనుగుణంగా స్కై వే డిజైన్ లో సీఎం పలు మార్పులు చేయించారు. సవరించిన కొత్త ప్రతిపాదనలను ఇటీవలే కేంద్రానికి పంపించారు.
స్కై వే నిర్మాణానికి అవసరమైన మేరకు భూముల కేటాయించేందుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఈరోజు ఆమోదం తెలిపింది. మొత్తం 3,380 చదరపు గజాల స్థలాన్ని తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వానికి అప్పగించనుంది. బదిలీ చేసిన భూములకు బదులుగా కేంద్రం ఢిపెన్స్ విభాగానికి రూ.15.15 కోట్ల విలువైన మౌలిక వసతులు కల్పించాల్సి ఉంటుంది. మరి కొంత స్థలానికి పదేండ్ల పాటు లైసైన్స్ రుసుం చెల్లించాలనే నిబంధన విధించింది. నాలుగు వారాల్లోనే ఈ భూములను అప్పగించేందుకు కేంద్ర రక్షణ శాఖ అంగీకరించింది.
దీంతో మెహదీపట్నం స్కై వాక్ పనులకున్న ప్రధాన అడ్డంకి తొలిగిపోయింది. ముంబైయి హైవే లో అత్యంత కీలకమైన రైతు బజార్ జంక్షన్ లో ట్రాఫిక్ సమస్యకు పరిష్కారం లభించనుంది. వీలైనంత వేగంగా ఈ స్కైవే నిర్మాణం చేపట్టాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి సంబంధిత అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
