Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy unveiled ‘Telangana Thalli’ statue in the Secretariat on Monday.
- The mammoth gathering of all you is reflecting the flow of river Krishna and Godavari combined here. Extending heartfelt congratulations to all the participants in this program which will remain forever in the Telangana history.
- Mother is the only identity of any part of the world and individuals. Mother is the embodiment of our culture and traditions.
- Our culture was assaulted and also insulted in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh. After the formation of the Telangana state, one person and one political party gave priority to themselves and neglected the aspirations of Telangana people .
- The decision to install Telangana Thalli statue was taken after discussing with cabinet colleagues to fulfill the aspirations of people in the people’s government.
- The previous rulers decided to use TS instead of TG for vehicle registrations against the aspirations of the Telangana activists. It is the reason the people’s government decided to use TG for vehicle registration.
- The famous ‘ Jaya Jaya he Telangana’ Song, which inspired us during the movement, has also not been declared as the state song for ten years. The People’s government declared the song as Telangana song. The felicitation of famous poet Andesri in the secretariat will be remembered as a great memory for my lifetime.
- Various political parties created different forms of Telangana Thalli statues. However, the image of Telangana Thalli has not been officially declared till the date. The people’s government officially declared the mother of the masses as Telangana Thalli.
- The Telangana Thalli statue inspires us as a replica of our own mother. December 9 is an auspicious day and festival day.
- Today, we are organizing this program like a festival so that all our thoughts should be surrounded by Telangana Thalli. Moving Telangana forward from crisis to welfare, corruption to development and reconstruction of the state . Government decided to recognize, honor and support the poets who lost everything for Telangana. Guda Anjaiah, Gaddar, Bandi Yadagiri, Andesri, Goreti Venkanna, Suddala Ashok Teja, Jayaraju, Pasham Yadagiri and Ekka Yadagiri Rao have been recognized. Government will provide them with a 300-yard house plot and a cash prize of Rs. 1 crore with a felicitation letter to all of them.
- Telangana was not achieved for the sake of a family or a political party. Faced humiliation in the erstwhile united AP. We are also neglected for ten years in Telangana state. Government will organize Telangana Thalli celebrations on December 9 every year so as not to recur such humiliation and neglect in the future.
