- Appeals to Industrialists to play a key role

Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy said that the newly established Telangana Young India Skill University will be promoted as a role model for the country. The CM announced that the University Board has been entrusted with the responsibility of promoting Skill University as the best institution in the country. The Chief Minister called upon the industrialists and blue chip companies to join as partners in the university and provide training to hone the skills and help the youth to get jobs.
The government already allotted 150 acres of land and earmarked Rs 100 crore for the university, the Chief minister said appealing to the industrialists to become partners and create a Corpus Fund for the complete management of the institution. The industrialists are requested to come forward and construct buildings in the university campus. The companies and donors who contributed to the construction of the buildings will be named after them.
CM Revanth Reddy said that the government executed the idea of the establishment of a skill university at a fast pace and henceforth the University Board Chairman Anand Mahindra is given the responsibility of the management of the institution. The government is confident that the university will get its own brand image in the country under the leadership of the noted industrialist Anand Mahindra who already made his own mark in the field of skill development.
Now, the government will pay special focus on the establishment of the Young India Sports University which is coming up on a sprawling area of around 200 acres. The sports university will provide training to enthusiastic athletes with an aim of winning gold medals for the country in the 2028 Olympics. The Chief Minister urged the industrialists to take part in the development of the sports university also.
The CM assured that there is no dearth of funds and the government is ready to spend Rs 1000 crore, out of Rs 3 lakh crore state annual budget, to promote sports. The chief minister asserted that financial assistance is not more important. The CM appealed to the industrialists and business honchos to extend their cooperation, join as partners and take the reasonability for the establishment of the sports university.
CM Revanth Reddy held a meeting with the Telangana Young India Skill University Board along with the representatives of industries and companies from various sectors. Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister D Sridhar Babu, University Board Chairman Anand Mahindra, Co-Chairman Srini Raju, Board Members P. Devaiah, Suchitra Ella, Satish Reddy, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Special Chief Secretary to Government Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary to CM Seshadri, CM’s Special Secretary Ajith Reddy and other senior officers participated in this meeting. Board members Manish Sabharwal, Sanjeev Bikchandani, MM Murugappan, and Dr. KP Krishnan participated in the meeting through video conference.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister shared his idea of the establishment of the Skill University and his future plans with the board, industrialists from various sectors and representatives of different companies.
Recalling some of his experiences, the Chief Minister said that degrees and PG certificates are not enough and youth who completed engineering courses came to him for jobs. Lakhs of youth are completing degrees, PG and engineering courses and finding it difficult to get jobs in the market. On the other hand, the industries are facing a shortage of skilled manpower. The idea of the establishment of the Skill University is to bridge the gap. Since the government is not in a position to provide government jobs to everyone, the CM said emphasizing the youth should upgrade their skills to meet the industry needs and other sectors to get jobs.
Explaining the key points about the Skill University to the industrialists, State IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu said the state government is working hard to promote Hyderabad city as a world-class destination for investments. As part of this, the government decided to set up a new Future City and also envisaged plans for the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence ( AI) city. New courses will be introduced soon under the guidance of the CM in Skill University.
Telangana is capable and competent: Anand Mahindra
University Board Chairman Anand Mahindra praised CM Revanth Reddy on floating the idea of the establishment of the Skill University to generate skilled youth from Telangana to the world. The Chief Minister is a highly competent leader and his vision is commendable, Anand Mahindra said it is the reason for him to accept the responsibility of taking charge as the University Board Chairman soon after the CM’s request. The governments used to give top priority to subsidies and attractive schemes. CM Revanth Reddy showed his vision by giving importance to providing skill development for jobs, Anand Mahindra said Telangana already has the largest US consulate and most people go to America from here. He is confident that Telangana will also emerge as a destination for providing skilled youth to the world. The Chairman wished the CM’s dream would come true and the ambition would also be fulfilled.
Skill University to offer courses from next month
The University Board decided the newly established Young India Skill University will start teaching the courses this year. The Board announced that the courses will be started in October after the Dasara festival. The classes will be started in the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) on a temporary basis. The courses in Healthcare, Commerce and Logistics will be launched first. Apollo, AIG, Lenskart, Flipkart, Amazon, All Cargo, Pro Connect and O9 Solutions companies came forward to offer courses and conduct classes. The board also decided to provide training to 2000 youth in the first year.

రాష్ట్రంలో కొత్తగా ఏర్పాటు చేసిన తెలంగాణ యంగ్ ఇండియా స్కిల్ యూనివర్సిటీని దేశంలోనే ఆదర్శంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అన్నారు. ఆ బాధ్యతను యూనివర్సిటీ బోర్డుకు అప్పగిస్తున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు. రాష్ట్రంలోని పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలు, ప్రముఖ కంపెనీలు ఈ యూనివర్సిటీలో భాగస్వామ్యం పంచుకోవాలని, యువతకు నైపుణ్యాలు నేర్పించి ఉపాధి కల్పించేందుకు తమ వంతు సహకారం అందించాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం తరఫున యూనివర్సిటీకి 150 ఎకరాల స్థలంతో పాటు రూ.100 కోట్లు కేటాయించినట్లు చెప్పారు. రాష్ట్రంలోని పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలు స్కిల్ యూనివర్సిటీలో భాగస్వామ్యం పంచుకోవాలని, యూనివర్సిటీ పూర్తి స్థాయి నిర్వహణకు కార్పస్ ఫండ్ ఏర్పాటుకు ముందుకు రావాలని కోరారు. యూనివర్సిటీలో భవనాల నిర్మాణానికి ముందుకు రావాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. తమ కంపెనీల పేర్లను లేదా దాతల పేర్లను ఈ భవనాలకు పెట్టాలని అధికారులకు సూచించారు.
వీలైనంత వేగంగా తమ ఆలోచనలను ఆచరణలోకి తెచ్చామని, ఇకపై యూనివర్సిటీ బాధ్యతను బోర్డు ఛైర్మన్ మహీంద్రా ఆనంద్కు అప్పగిస్తున్నామని అన్నారు. ఈ రంగంలో అనుభవంతో పాటు ప్రత్యేక గుర్తింపు ఉన్న మహీంద్రా ఆనంద్ స్కిల్ యూనివర్సిటీకి తన బ్రాండ్ ఇమేజీని తీసుకువస్తారనే నమ్మకం ఉందని అన్నారు. తమ ప్రభుత్వం ఇప్పటి నుంచి యంగ్ ఇండియా స్పోర్ట్స్ యూనివర్సిటీ ఏర్పాటుపై దృష్టి సారిస్తుందని చెప్పారు. దాదాపు 200 ఎకరాల్లో స్పోర్ట్స్ యూనివర్సిటీ నెలకొల్పి.. 2028 ఒలింపిక్స్లో ఇండియాకు గోల్డ్ మెడల్ తీసుకురావాలనే లక్ష్యంతో క్రీడాకారులకు శిక్షణను అందిస్తామని అన్నారు. ఈ యూనివర్సిటీ అభివృద్ధిలో పాలుపంచుకోవాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలకు పిలుపునిచ్చారు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి నిధుల ఇబ్బంది లేదని.. రూ. 3 లక్షల కోట్ల బడ్జెట్లో వెయ్యి కోట్లు ఖర్చయినా భరించేందుకు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నామని చెప్పారు. ఆర్థిక సహకారానికి మించి, రాష్ట్రంలోని అందరు పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలు, వ్యాపార వాణిజ్యవేత్తలు ఆశించినంత చొరవ ప్రదర్శించాలని.. తగిన భాగస్వామ్యం, బాధ్యతలను పంచుకోవాలని కోరుతున్నట్లు చెప్పారు.
తెలంగాణ యంగ్ ఇండియా స్కిల్ యూనివర్సిటీ బోర్డుతో పాటు రాష్ట్రంలోని వివిధ రంగాలకు చెందిన పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలు, కంపెనీల ప్రతినిధులతో ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి సచివాలయంలో సమావేశమయ్యారు. డిప్యూటీ సీఎం భట్టి విక్రమార్క, మంత్రి శ్రీధర్ బాబు, యూనివర్సిటీ బోర్డు ఛైర్మన్ ఆనంద్ మహీంద్రా, కో ఛైర్మన్ శ్రీని రాజు, బోర్డు సభ్యులు పి.దేవయ్య, సుచిత్రా ఎల్లా, సతీష్ రెడ్డి, ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శాంతి కుమారి, ప్రభుత్వ ప్రత్యేక ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి జయేష్ రంజన్, సీఎం ముఖ్య కార్యదర్శి శేషాద్రి, సీఎం ప్రత్యేక కార్యదర్శి అజిత్ రెడ్డితో పాటు ఉన్నతాధికారులు ఈ సమావేశంలో పాల్గొన్నారు. బోర్డు సభ్యులు మనీష్ సభర్వాల్, సంజీవ్ బిక్చందానీ, ఎంఎం మురుగప్పన్, డాక్టర్ కేపీ కృష్ణన్ వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ ద్వారా సమావేశంలో పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ.. స్కిల్ యూనివర్సిటీ చేయాలనే తన ఆలోచనలతో పాటు భవిష్యత్తు ఆకాంక్షలను ఆయన యూనివర్సిటీ బోర్డుతో, రాష్ట్రంలోని వివిధ రంగాల పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలు, వివిధ కంపెనీల ప్రతినిధులతో పంచుకున్నారు.
డిగ్రీలు, పీజీ పట్టాలు ఉంటే సరిపోదని, ఇంజనీరింగ్ పూర్తి చేసిన లక్షలాది మంది యువకులు ఒక ఉద్యోగం ఇప్పించండని తన వద్దకు వస్తున్నారని ముఖ్యమంత్రి తనకు ఎదురైన కొన్ని అనుభవాలను గుర్తు చేసుకున్నారు. ఏటేటా లక్షలాది మంది యువకులు డిగ్రీలు, పీజీలు, ఇంజనీరింగ్ పూర్తి చేస్తున్నారని.. కానీ అందరూ ఉద్యోగాలు సాధించలేకపోతున్నారని అన్నారు. మరోవైపు పరిశ్రమల అవసరాలకు సరిపడే మానవ వనరుల కొరత ఉందని చెప్పారు. ఈ అంతరాన్ని తొలిగించేందుకు స్కిల్ యూనివర్సిటీ నెలకొల్పాలనే ఆలోచన చేసినట్లు ముఖ్యమంత్రి తెలిపారు. అందరికీ సరిపడేన్ని ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగాలు ఉండవని, వివిధ రంగాలతో పాటు, పరిశ్రమలకు అవసరమైన నైపుణ్యాలు నేర్చుకుంటే యువత ఉపాధికి ఢోకా ఉండదని చెప్పారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా యంగ్ ఇండియా స్కిల్ యూనివర్సిటీకి సంబంధించి కీలక అంశాలను ఐటీ, పరిశ్రమల శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీధర్ బాబు పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలకు వివరించారు. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం హైదరాబాద్ ను ప్రపంచ స్థాయి ఆకర్షణీయ గమ్య స్థానంగా తీర్చిదిద్దేందుకు కంకణం కట్టుకుందని అన్నారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా కొత్తగా ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీని నెలకొల్పుతుందని, ఇప్పటికే అర్టిఫిషియల్ ఇంటెలిజెన్స్ సిటీ ఏర్పాటుకు ప్రణాళికలు సిద్ధమయ్యాయని అన్నారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి స్వీయ ఆలోచనతో త్వరలోనే స్కిల్ యూనివర్సిటీ లో కొత్త కోర్సులు ప్రారంభమవటం ఆనందంగా ఉందన్నారు.
తెలంగాణకు సత్తా ఉంది: ఆనంద్ మహీంద్రా
తెలంగాణ నుంచి నైపుణ్యం కలిగిన యువతను ప్రపంచానికి అందించాలన్న ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఆలోచన గొప్పదని యూనివర్సిటీ బోర్డు ఛైర్మన్ ఆనంద్ మహీంద్రా ప్రశంసించారు. మంచి విజన్ ఉన్న సమర్థ నాయకుడు సీఎం రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అంటూ కొనియాడారు. అందుకే యూనివర్సిటీ బోర్డు చైర్మన్ గా ఉండాలని సీఎం కోరగానే ఒప్పుకోవాల్సి వచ్చిందని ఆనంద్ మహీంద్రా అన్నారు. సాధారణంగా ప్రభుత్వాలు సబ్సిడీలు, ఆకర్షణీయ పథకాలకు ఎక్కువ ప్రాధాన్యమిస్తాయని, కానీ యువతను నిపుణులుగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఆలోచించిన తీరులోనే దార్శనికత ఉందని అభినందించారు. తెలంగాణలోనే అతి పెద్ద యూఎస్ కాన్సులేట్ ఉందని, ఎక్కువ మంది ఇక్కడి నుంచే అమెరికాకు వెళుతున్నారని గుర్తు చేశారు. అలాంటప్పుడు ప్రపంచానికి నైపుణ్యమున్న యువతను అందించే గమ్యస్థానంగా తెలంగాణ నిలబడుతుందనడంలో సందేహం లేదన్నారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి కల నిజం కావాలని, ఆయన ఆశయం నెరవేరాలనే ఆకాంక్షను వ్యక్తం చేశారు.
వచ్చే నెల నుంచే కోర్సులు
రాష్ట్రంలో కొత్తగా ఏర్పాటు చేసిన తెలంగాణ యంగ్ ఇండియా స్కిల్ యూనివర్సిటీ కోర్సులు ఈ ఏడాది నుంచే ప్రారంభించాలని యూనివర్సిటీ బోర్డు నిర్ణయించింది. దసరా పండుగ తర్వాత అక్టోబర్ నెలలో కోర్సులను ప్రారంభించనున్నట్లు సూచన ప్రాయంగా వెల్లడించింది. ఇంజనీరింగ్ స్టాఫ్ కాలేజీ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా (ఈఎస్సీఐ)లో తాత్కాలికంగా కోర్సులను నిర్వహించనుంది. ముందుగా హెల్త్ కేర్, ఈ కామర్స్ అండ్ లాజిస్టిక్స్ కోర్సులను ప్రారంభించనుంది. ఈ కోర్సుల నిర్వహణకు అపోలోతో పాటు ఏఐజీ, లెన్స్ కార్ట్, ఫ్లిఫ్ కార్ట్, అమెజాన్, అల్కార్గో, ప్రొ కనెక్ట్, ఓ9 సొల్యూషన్స్ కంపెనీలు ముందుకొచ్చాయి. తొలి ఏడాది రెండు వేల మందికి శిక్షణ ఇవ్వాలని నిర్ణయించింది.
