- The Bank delegation praises the Telangana Government
- World Bank is ready to support govt
The World Bank extolled the Telangana Government for its priorities in the development of the state. Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy already held a meeting with World Bank President Ajay Banga in Washington last month.
For further talks, an official delegation led by the World Bank’s South Asia Vice President Martin Raiser called on CM Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat on Saturday. The team consisting of World Bank Country Operation Head Paul Procy, Urban Infra, Project Lead Natalia Kay, and Digital Development Senior Specialist Mahimapath Ray met the CM.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister explained to the World Bank team about the state government’s priorities for the development of urban infrastructure, education, medical care and irrigation facilities. The CM requested the World Bank to provide financial support to the projects that are being taken up on priority and also cooperate in the construction of Telangana projects to high standards.
Martin Raiser appreciated CM Revanth Reddy’s vision in strengthening the education and medical facilities and the decisions taken to meet future needs. Martin Raiser observed that the priorities of the World Bank and Telangana Government are the same and the World Bank is interested in extending cooperation to the Telangana government.
State Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, Chief Minister Principal Secretary V. Seshadri, CM Special Secretary Ajith Reddy, Sangeeta Satyanarayana, Finance Wing Special Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, State Municipal and Urban Development Department Principal Secretary Dana Kishore, Health Department Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu and other senior officials are also present.

రాష్ట్ర స‌చివాల‌యంలో ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డితో వారు స‌మావేశ‌మ‌య్యారు. ఈ సంద‌ర్భంగా ప‌ట్ట‌ణ మౌలిక వ‌స‌తుల అభివృద్ధి, విద్యా, వైద్య, సాగు నీటి రంగాలను త‌మ ప్ర‌భుత్వ ప్రాధాన్యాలుగా పెట్టుకున్నామ‌ని, ఆయా రంగాల్లో తాము తీసుకుంటున్న చ‌ర్య‌ల‌ను ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి వారికి వివ‌రించారు. తాము ప్రాధాన్యంగా తీసుకుంటున్న ప్రాజెక్టుల‌కు ఆర్థిక స‌హకారంతో పాటు అత్యుత్త‌మ ప్ర‌మాణాల‌తో తెలంగాణ ప్రాజెక్టులు నిలిచేందుకు స‌హ‌క‌రించాల‌ని ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి కోరారు. విద్యా, వైద్య రంగాల్లో ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి దార్శ‌నిక‌త బాగుంద‌ని, భ‌విష్య‌త్ అవ‌స‌రాల‌కు అనుగుణ‌మైన నిర్ణ‌యాలు తీసుకుంటున్నార‌ని మార్టిన్ రైజ‌ర్ ప్ర‌శంసించారు. ప్ర‌పంచ బ్యాంకు ఏ రంగాలను ప్రాధాన్య అంశాలుగా ఎంచుకుందో అవే తెలంగాణ ప్ర‌భుత్వ ప్రాధాన్య అంశాలుగా ఉన్నాయ‌ని మార్టిన్ రైజ‌ర్ అన్నారు. తెలంగాణ ప్ర‌భుత్వానికి స‌హ‌క‌రించేందుకు తాము ఆస‌క్తిగా ఉన్నామ‌ని ఆయ‌న తెలిపారు.
