Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy handed over job appointment orders to the newly recruited AEEs in the State Irrigation department at Jala Soudha on Thursday in Hyderabad.
Telangana state has been formed to fulfill the aspirations of people who fought for water and jobs. Water is one of the important parts of Telangana culture. All the newly recruited persons are appointed as the representatives of the important irrigation department in the state.
The present government is going fast in the recruitment process after a decade of the formation of the Telangana State. Getting a job is also an emotion for all. The emotions of Telangana people are connected with water. It is your responsibility to respect the people’s emotions and utilize water judiciously for the state needs.
Officials who acquire field experience will only excel in their profession. Leaders also become successful politicians and rulers who only visit the field regularly. Leaders like PV Narasimha Rao, Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy and Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy rose from the level of Sarpanch to Chief Ministers and also Prime Ministers. I also came from a Zilla Parishad member to the level of CM.
Earlier, engineers used to go to the field inspection in the early morning and write the reports. These days, the officials have stopped visiting the field. The People’s Government already ordered the officials to conduct field visits regularly.
The previous government spent crores of rupees on the construction of the Kaleshwaram project but the structure collapsed. The officials should come out and tell who is responsible for this. Is it officials or politicians? Kaleshwaram is the perfect example for a model study.
Consider the famous engineer Mokshagundam Vishveshwariah, who constructed Usman Sagar and Himayat Sagar as a role model for all irrigation engineers. The entire irrigation department had to be dissolved if the government took action against those responsible for the Kaleshwaram fiasco. The government will have to face criticism if action is not taken. The engineers from EE and SE levels are leveling allegations against each other.
Such situations would not have arisen if the wrong decisions taken by the politicians were not implemented. The Kaleshwaram is not providing irrigation facilities even to one lakh acres even after spending one lakh crore on the lift scheme.
Appealing to the officials to probe the reasons for not completing the pending projects for the last 10 years. Rs 2 lakh crore were spent on the projects and the works are still pending. It should not be repeated in the future.
Water is the most precious resource in the reconstruction of the Telangana state. All officials should work at the field level to complete the projects.
As a punishment, send the officials, who have been appointed on recommendation, to distant places. Officials should focus on the work and not postings. Telangana will be a role model for the country once all the pending projects are completed.

- ఏ వృత్తిలోనైనా క్షేత్ర స్థాయిలో అనుభవం ఉన్నవాళ్లే రాణిస్తారు..
- రాజకీయాల్లోనూ క్షేత్ర స్థాయి నుంచి వచ్చిన వారే ఎక్కువ రాణిస్తారు.

- కాళేశ్వరం లాంటి ప్రాజెక్టులకు లక్ష కోట్లు ఖర్చు చేస్తే.. కట్టడం కూలడం రెండూ జరిగాయి..
- దీనికి ఎవరిని బాధ్యులను చేయాలో మీరే చెప్పాలి..
- అధికారులనా? రాజకీయ నాయకులనా?
