Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy ordered the officials to speed up the official process for holding the local body elections. The Chief Minister held a review of local body elections at the State Secretariat on Friday evening.
The CM inquired about the challenges to begin the official process for local body elections. The officials briefed the Chief Minister that the State Election Commission (SEC) is yet to receive the new voter list from the Election Commission of India (ECI). When the CM asked the requirement of time to receive the voters list, officials said that the ECI has already sent the list to two states and the Telangana state, along with six other states, will receive the list in a week.
CM Revanth Reddy asked the officials to start the election process soon after the voters list was received and also suggested the preparation of the voters list for the respective local bodies in a week. The Chief Minister also directed the BC Commission to submit its report on the BC quota in local body elections to the government within a specified period.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Health Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha, Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka, BC Welfare Minister P Prabhakar, Revenue Minister P Srinivasa Reddy, MLC Teenmar Mallanna and State Government Advisor Kesava Rao are present. Former Minister K Jana Reddy, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, BC Commission Chairman Vakulabharanam, Chief Minister Secretaries V. Seshadri, Chandrasekhar Reddy, Vemula Srinivasulu, Sangeeta Satyanarayana, Ajith Reddy and Advocate General Sudarshan Reddy also participated in the meeting.

ఎన్నిక‌ల ప్ర‌క్రియ ప్రారంభించ‌డానికి ఉన్న ఆటంకాలు ఏమిట‌ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్ర‌శ్నించారు. భార‌త ఎన్నిక‌ల సంఘం (ఈసీఐ) నుంచి రాష్ట్ర ఎన్నిక‌ల సంఘానికి (ఎస్ఈసీ) నూత‌న ఓట‌ర్ల జాబితా రావాల్సి ఉంద‌ని అధికారులు తెలిపారు. అందుకు ఎంత స‌మ‌యం ప‌డుతుంద‌ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్ర‌శ్నించారు. ఇప్ప‌టికే రెండు రాష్ట్రాల‌కు ఈసీఐ జాబితా పంపింద‌ని, మ‌న‌తో పాటు మ‌రో ఆరు రాష్ట్రాల‌కు మ‌రో వారంలో జాబితాలు పంపిస్తుంద‌ని అధికారులు స‌మాధాన‌మిచ్చారు. జాబితా రాగానే వెంట‌నే ఎన్నిక‌ల ప్ర‌క్రియ ప్రారంభించాల‌ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఆదేశించారు. వారంలోపే ఆయా స్థానిక సంస్థ‌ల‌కు త‌గిన‌ట్లు ఓట్ల‌ర్ల జాబితాలు రూపొందించాల‌ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి సూచించారు.
రిజ‌ర్వేష‌న్ల‌కు సంబంధించి బీసీ క‌మిష‌న్ సైతం నిర్దిష్ట గ‌డువులోగా త‌మ నివేదిక‌ను ప్ర‌భుత్వానికి స‌మ‌ర్పించాల‌ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఆదేశించారు.
