Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy urged Union Health Minister Sri JP Nadda to release Rs.693.13 crore pending dues to Telangana under the National Health Mission (NHM), immediately.
The Chief Minister called on JP Nadda, in New Delhi, today ( Tuesday). During the meeting, the CM explained the initiatives taken by the state government to improve health facilities and special focus laid on strengthening the health sector in the state.
CM Revanth Reddy informed the union health minister, that the state government has been implementing all the norms of the Ayushman Bharat scheme since January this year. To provide better healthcare services in rural and urban areas, The Chief Minister apprised the union minister of the establishment of 5,159 Basti Dawakhanas (Ayushman Arogya Mandirs).
Since the state government was giving top priority to medical and health services, CM Revanth Reddy urged JP Nadda to extend cooperation to the state and release the dues pending under the National Health Mission.
The CM brought to notice of Union Minister, that for the third and fourth quarters of 2023-24, under NHM scheme, Rs 323.73 crore dues were still pending. Similarly, he said that the dues pertaining to first quarter of 2024-25 were pending to the tune of Rs 138 crore. He requested to release these funds immediately.
The Chief Minister also asked to reimburse Rs.231.40 crore dues for the year 2023-2024, which state government spent for the infrastructure and maintenance component, under the NHM.
CM Revanth Reddy brought to the notice of Union Minister JP Nadda that regarding NHM scheme, the state government is releasing the entire anticipated central share of funds due to delay from the government of India, along with state’s share to ensure no disruption in extending the emergency medical services and avoid any difficulty to the staff, since October 2023.
Ministers Komatireddy Venkatreddy, P Srinivas Reddy, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav and state Special representative in New Delhi AP Jitendar Reddy are also present in the meeting.

ఆరోగ్య మిషన్ 2023-24 మూడు, నాలుగు త్రైమాసికాల నిధులు రూ.323.73 కోట్లు పెండింగ్‌లో ఉండటమే కాకుండా 2024-25 మొద‌టి త్రైమాసిక గ్రాంట్ రూ.138 కోట్లు కూడా మంజూరు చేయాల్సి ఉంద‌ని తెలియజేస్తూ, ఆ మొత్తాన్ని వెంట‌నే విడుద‌ల చేయాల‌ని కోరారు.
ఆయుష్మాన్ భార‌త్ నిబంధ‌న‌లు అన్నింటిని తాము ఈ ఏడాది జ‌న‌వ‌రి నుంచి అమ‌లు చేస్తున్న‌ట్లు కేంద్ర మంత్రి గారికి వివరించారు. ప‌ట్ట‌ణ, గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో ప్ర‌జ‌ల‌కు మెరుగైన వైద్య సేవ‌లు అందించేందుకుగానూ 5,159 బ‌స్తీ ద‌వాఖానాలు (ఆయుష్మాన్ ఆరోగ్య మందిరాలు) స‌మ‌ర్థంగా నిర్వ‌హిస్తున్నట్టు తెలిపారు.
జాతీయ ఆరోగ్య మిషన్ కింద చేప‌ట్టిన మౌలిక వ‌స‌తులు, నిర్వ‌హ‌ణ కాంపోనెంట్ కింద 2023-2024 సంవ‌త్స‌రానికి సంబంధించి రావ‌ల్సిన రూ.231.40 కోట్ల నిధులను కూడా త‌క్ష‌ణ‌మే రీయింబ‌ర్స్ చేయాల‌ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు విజ్ఞ‌ప్తి చేశారు.
ఈ నిధుల విడుదలలో జాప్యం కావ‌డంతో అత్య‌వ‌స‌ర వైద్య సేవ‌ల‌కు అంత‌రాయం క‌ల‌గ‌కుండా, సిబ్బందికి ఇబ్బందులు క‌ల‌గ‌కుండా ఉండేందుకు రాష్ట్ర వాటాతో పాటు కేంద్రం వాటా మొత్తాన్ని కూడా అక్టోబర్ 2023 నుంచి రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వమే విడుద‌ల చేస్తున్న విషయాన్ని కేంద్ర మంత్రి దృష్టికి రేవంత్ రెడ్డిగారు తీసుకెళ్లారు.
