Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy embarked on a Delhi tour on Monday and continued aiming to address the pending state issues and safeguard the Telangana interests. During the two-day visit in the national capital, the Chief Minister held meetings with three Union Ministers and attended the oath-taking of newly elected Congress MPs in the Lok Sabha. The CM displayed the spirit of federalism by meeting the union ministers despite the Congress party’s arch rival BJP being in power at the centre and making all out efforts to address the state issues through consultation.
On the first day of his visit to Delhi on Monday, CM Revanth Reddy met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The CM requested Rajnath Singh to transfer the defence lands to the state government for the expansion of roads and construction of skyways and other infrastructure projects in Hyderabad city. Soon after assuming the CM office, Revanth Reddy met the Defence Minister and succeeded in the transfer of required defence lands to construct elevated corridors in the city. Responding to the CM appeal, the Defense Minister approved the transfer of lands in many areas and the CM already laid the foundation stones for several elevated corridors.
In the present visit, the CM appealed to Rajnath Singh to transfer another 2,450 acres of defence land. The lands will help for widening of roads and construction of other infrastructure development projects in many parts of the city once the centre transfers the lands to the state.
Later, CM Revanth Reddy called on Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The CM brought to the notice of the Union Minister that the state government launched the “Indiramma housing” scheme to fulfill the dream of owning a house by every poor person in the state. The Chief Minister asked the union housing minister to sanction 2.70 lakh houses under Prime Minister Awas Yojana (Urban)-PMAY (U) scheme. The CM also appealed to release Rs.784.88 crore pending dues to Telangana as grant under PMAY (U).
Musi Riverfront Development & Metro Rail
Once considered a lifeline to Hyderabad city, the Musi River has now turned into a polluted canal. Denizens of Hyderabad city and also old Nalgonda districts bore the brunt of the pollution emanated from the Musi river. The Chief Minister took the rejuvenation of Musi as a prestigious and committed to Musi riverfront development. The CM already visited London and studied the Thames Riverfront project there. The Chief Minister requested the centre to extend cooperation for Musi rejuvenation and take up development projects on the banks of river for the benefit of the local people. CM Revanth Reddy also sought help from the union Minister for the expansion of Metro Rail in the city. The CM discussed the expansion of Metro Rail services through the Old City of Hyderabad with the Union Minister and asked for assistance.
Warangal & Khammam Issues
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy discussed the problems being faced by other cities in the state particularly Warangal and Karimnagar with Union Minister Khattar. The CM brought to the notice of the Union Minister that the works undertaken in the two cities of Warangal and Karimnagar under the Smart City Mission have not been completed. The CM pleaded with the union minister to extend the time limit of the Smart City Mission till the completion of the pending works.
CM requests to clear NHM pending dues
The Chief Minister explained to Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda the special focus laid on strengthening the health sector by the state government in Telangana. During the meeting with Nadda on the second day (Tuesday), the CM appealed to the Union Minister to release Rs.693.13 crores pending dues to Telangana under the National Health Mission (NHM) and the central share of funds immediately so that the health services in the state are not disrupted.
CM Revanth Reddy attend MPs Oath taking
CM Revanth Reddy attended the oath taking of the MPs in Lok Sabha. The CM suggested to the newly elected MPs to fight for Telangana interests irrespective of their party affiliation. The CM extended greetings to all the MPs who took oath. The MPs are advised to be conscious of the difference between political conflicts and the state interests and fight for the state’s interests by taking up the issues in the Parliament as a platform.

మూసీ రివ‌ర్ ఫ్రంట్‌… మెట్రో రైలు
హైద‌రాబాద్ న‌గరానికి ఒక‌నాడు జీవ‌నాడిగా ఉన్న మూసీ న‌ది ప్ర‌స్తుతం మురికి కూపంగా మారిపోయింది. మూసీ కాలుష్యంతో న‌గ‌రంతో పాటు ఉమ్మ‌డి న‌ల్గొండ ప్ర‌జ‌లు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారు. మూసీ ప్ర‌క్షాళ‌న‌ను ప్ర‌తిష్టాత్మ‌కంగా తీసుకున్న ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి మూసీ రివ‌ర్ ఫ్రంట్‌కు కృత‌నిశ్చ‌యంతో ఉన్నారు. ఇప్ప‌టికే లండ‌న్‌లో థేమ్స్ న‌ది రివ‌ర్ ఫ్రంట్‌ను ప‌రిశీలించారు. మూసీని ప్ర‌క్షాళ‌న చేయ‌డంతో పాటు న‌ది ఒడ్డున అభివృద్ధి కార్య‌క్ర‌మాలు చేప‌ట్టి స్థానికుల‌కు ప్ర‌యోజ‌నం చేకూర్చేలా తీర్చిదిద్దుతామ‌ని, ఇందుకు స‌హ‌క‌రించాల‌ని కోరారు. న‌గ‌రంలో మెట్రో రైలు విస్తరణకు స‌హ‌క‌రించాల‌ని కేంద్ర మంత్రిని కోరారు. పాత‌బ‌స్తీ మీదుగా మెట్రో రైలు విస్తరణకు సంబంధించిన అంశాల‌పై కేంద్ర మంత్రితో ఆయ‌న చ‌ర్చించారు. ఈవిష‌యంలో త‌మ‌కు చేయూత‌నివ్వాల‌ని కోరారు.
వ‌రంగ‌ల్‌.. క‌రీంన‌గ‌ర్ సమస్యలపైనా
హైద‌రాబాద్‌తో పాటు రాష్ట్రంలో ఇత‌ర న‌గ‌రాలైన వ‌రంగ‌ల్‌, క‌రీంన‌గ‌ర్ సమస్యలపైనా కేంద్ర మంత్రి ఖ‌ట్ట‌ర్‌తో ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి చ‌ర్చించారు. స్మార్ట్ సిటీ మిష‌న్ కింద వ‌రంగ‌ల్‌, క‌రీంన‌గ‌ర్ ప‌ట్ట‌ణాల్లో చేప‌ట్టిన ప‌నులు పూర్తికాలేద‌ని కేంద్ర మంత్రి దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లారు. ఆ ప‌నులు పూర్త‌య్యే వ‌ర‌కు స్మార్ట్ సిటీ మిష‌న్ కాల‌ప‌రిమితిని పొడిగించాల‌ని కేంద్ర మంత్రిని కోరారు.
ఎన్‌హెచ్ఎం బ‌కాయిలు రాబ‌ట్టేందుకు కృషి
తెలంగాణ‌లో ప్ర‌జారోగ్య రంగంపై త‌మ ప్ర‌భుత్వం పెడుతున్న ప్ర‌త్యేక శ్ర‌ద్ధ‌ను కేంద్ర ఆరోగ్య శాఖ మంత్రి జె.పి.న‌డ్డాకు ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి వివ‌రించారు. ముఖ్య‌మంత్రి ఢిల్లీ ప‌ర్య‌ట‌న‌లో రెండో రోజైన మంగ‌ళ‌వారం కేంద్ర మంత్రి న‌డ్డాతో భేటీ అయ్యారు. జాతీయ ఆరోగ్య మిష‌న్ (ఎన్‌హెచ్ఎం) కింద తెలంగాణ‌కు రావ‌ల్సిన బ‌కాయిలు రూ.693.13 కోట్లు వెంట‌నే విడుద‌ల చేయాల‌ని కేంద్ర మంత్రికి విజ్ఙ‌ప్తి చేశారు. రాష్ట్రంలో ఆరోగ్య సేవ‌ల‌కు అంత‌రాయం క‌ల‌గ‌కుండా కేంద్రం వాటా నిధుల‌ను రాష్ట్ర ప్ర‌భుత్వ‌మే విడుద‌ల చేసింద‌ని, ఆ మొత్తాన్ని వెంట‌నే విడుద‌ల చేయాల‌ని విజ్ఞ‌ప్తి చేశారు.
