Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy assured that the state government will support the farmers in the difficult drought conditions. The Chief Minister said that drought situation prevailed in the state and it will be tackled collectively. Due to deficit rainfall this year, water levels in the reservoirs are depleted and hence the water crisis looming large in the state, the CM said .
CM Sri Revanth Reddy said that farmers and leaders of Karimnagar, Khammam, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar districts are demanding for the release of water from the reservoirs. The CM appealed to all the farmers to understand the present situation. The government is already making required arrangements to solve the drinking water crisis in the ensuing summer amidst the water crisis, the Chief Minister said.
CM Sri Revanth Reddy launched an innovative ‘Rythu Nestham’ programme through video conference from his residence on Wednesday morning. Deputy Chief Minister Sri Bhatti Vikramarka, Agriculture Minister Sri Tummala Nageswara Rao, Secretary of Agriculture Department and Commissioner Sri Raghunandana Rao, Director Sri Gopi, representatives of farmers unions Sri Sunketa Anvesh Reddy, Sri Nallamala Venkateswara Rao and Sri Y Venkateswara Rao participated in the programme from the secretariat. Farmers from different districts participated in the conference and shared their experiences. They explained how they are making profits in farming.
The government launched the innovative programme to solve the problems of the farmers directly by arranging video conference facilities to 2601 ‘Rythu Vedikas’ across the state. In the first phase, video conference units are being set up in 110 assembly constituencies on an experimental basis. The State Agriculture Department took up this programme with the help of Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University. The government already sanctioned Rs 97 crore for the programme.
The new facility will provide a platform to interact with the agricultural experts directly with farmers and understand the challenges at the field level. The experts and officials will give suggestions to the farmers on the crops and advanced farming techniques from time to time. The digital platform will also help the farmers to share their experiences with other farmers. MLAs and district Collectors participated in the launch of Rythu Nestham through video conference.
CM Sri Revnath Reddy said that Rythu Nestham will help the farmers to provide adequate information on the farming activity in every agricultural season. Farmers are being given the opportunity to interact with agricultural experts directly. The government launched the programme with an aim to reach out to the farmers and understand their problems at the field level. Some more programmes will be launched in collaboration with the farmers in the future. The government will support the farmers in the supply of seeds, fertilizers and also the selling of harvested crop products in the markets.
The CM emphasized farmers should get profits for their produce and the government is working out plans in this direction. A slew of farmer welfare schemes like Rythu Bharosa, loan waiver, regular seeds supply , purchase of crops through IKP centers and market yards have already been taken up.
The CM said that the state is blessed with suitable land and climate to grow around 26 different types of crops and hence the farmers are suggested to take up not only cultivation of Paddy, Cotton and Chilly but also other crops which help to give more profits and yield. Crop rotation will help to reduce the water usage and investment burden on the farmers in the difficult times.
The CM appealed to all farmers to utilize the services of the Rythu Nestham programme so that they can bring their problems to the attention of the government. The new programme is being implemented in 110 centres on a pilot project and then extended to all villages in the future.
CM Sri Revanth Reddy said that the crop insurance scheme is also being implemented on the advice of Deputy Chief Minister Sri Bhatti Vikramarka and Agriculture Minister Sri Tummala Nageswara Rao. The bereaved families will get Rythu Bhima benefit in case the farmer dies. The crop insurance scheme will instill confidence among farmers to continue the farming activity. The scheme will help the farmers to get compensation including the investment made in case the crops are damaged due to drought or floods. The crop insurance scheme will rescue the farmers from the financial distress. The CM appealed to the farmers not to lose courage even during the hardships as the government is ready to support the entire farming community.

కరువు వచ్చినా.. ఎంత కష్టం వచ్చినా రైతులకు తమ ప్రభుత్వం అండగా ఉంటుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ ఏ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి భరోసా ఇచ్చారు. ప్రస్తుతం రాష్ట్రంలో కరువు పరిస్థితులున్నాయని, కలిసికట్టుగా కరువును ఎదుర్కుందామని సీఎం పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ఏడాదిగా సరైన వర్షపాతం లేకపోవటంతో రిజర్వాయర్లలో నీళ్లు అడుగంటుతున్నాయని , అందుకే అన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో నీటి సమస్య తీవ్రంగా ఉందన్నారు. రిజర్వాయర్ల నుంచి నీళ్లను విడుదల చేయాలని కరీంనగర్, ఖమ్మం, నల్గొండ, మహబూబ్నగర్ ప్రాంతంలోని రైతులు, నాయకులు డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నారని చెప్పారు. రైతులందరూ పరిస్థితిని అర్థం చేసుకోవాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. వచ్చే ఎండాకాలంలో తాగునీటి కష్టాలు రాకుండా చూడాల్సిన అవసరముందని, అందుకు అన్ని రకాల ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తున్నామని సీఎం అన్నారు.
రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం వినూత్నంగా చేపట్టిన రైతు నేస్తం కార్యక్రమాన్ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి బుధవారం ఉదయం తన నివాసం నుంచి వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ ద్వారా ప్రారంభించారు. ఉప ముఖ్య మంత్రి శ్రీ భట్టి విక్రమార్క, వ్యవసాయశాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీ తుమ్మల నాగేశ్వరరావు, వ్యవసాయ శాఖ సెక్రెటరీ, కమిషనర్ శ్రీ రఘునందనరావు, డైరెక్టర్ శ్రీ గోపి, రైతు సంఘాల ప్రతినదులు శ్రీ సుంకెట అన్వేష్ రెడ్డి, శ్రీ నల్లమాల వెంకటేశ్వర రావు, శ్రీ వై వెంకటేశ్వర రావు సచివాలయం నుంచి ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్నారు. వివిధ జిల్లాల నుంచి పలువురు రైతులు కాన్ఫరెన్స్ లో పాల్గొని తమ అనుభవాలను పంచుకున్నారు. తాము పండిస్తున్న పంటల ద్వారా లాభాలు సాధిస్తున్న తీరును వివరించారు.
రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న 2601 రైతు వేదిక లకు వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ అను సంధానం చేసి నేరుగా రైతుల సమస్యల ను పరిష్కరించేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం వినూత్నంగా ఈ కార్యక్రమం చేపట్టింది. తొలి విడతగా ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా 110 అసెంబ్లీ నియోజకవర్గాల్లో వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ యూనిట్లను నెలకొల్పింది. ప్రొఫెసర్ జయశంకర్ వ్యవసాయ విశ్వ విద్యాలయం సహకారంతో రాష్ట్ర వ్యవసాయశాఖ రూ.97 కోట్లతో ఈ కార్యక్రమం చేపట్టింది. దీంతో రాష్ట్ర అధికారులతో పాటు వ్యవసాయ నిపుణులు నేరుగా గ్రామాల్లో, పంట పొలాల్లో ఉండే రైతులతో ముఖాముఖి మాట్లాడి వాళ్ల సమస్యలను తెలుసుకుంటుంది. పంటలకు సంబంధించిన సలహాలు, సూచనలతో పాటు అధునాతన మెలకువలను ఎప్పటికప్పుడు వారికి అందిస్తుంది. ఆదర్శ రైతుల తమ అనుభవాలను ఇతర రైతులతో పంచుకునేందుకు వీలు కల్పిస్తుంది. వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ లో చేపట్టిన ఈ కార్యక్రమ ప్రారంభోత్సవంలో ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, జిల్లా కలెక్టర్లు పాలుపంచుకున్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి మాట్లాడారు.
ప్రతి సీజన్లో రైతులు ఎదుర్కునే సమస్యలను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని, ఎప్పటికప్పుడు వాళ్లకు సలహాలు సూచనలిచ్చేందుకు రైతు నేస్తం ఉపయోగపడుతుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి అన్నారు. నేరుగా రైతులు వ్యవసాయ నిపుణులతో మాట్లాడేందుకు వీలు కలుగుతుందన్నారు. ప్రభుత్వమే ప్రజల దగ్గరికి వెళ్లాలని, అందులో భాగంగానే రైతుల సమస్యలను తెలుసుకోవాలనే ఆలోచనతో వ్యవసాయ శాఖ ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని చేపట్టిందని అన్నారు. రైతులతో కలిసి మెలిసి భవిష్యత్ కార్యక్రమాలను తమ ప్రభుత్వం చేపడుతుందని అన్నారు. విత్తనాలు, ఎరువులు, ఏ పంట వేయాలనేది మొదలు పండించిన పంట ఉత్పత్తులను అమ్ముకునేంత వరకు ప్రభుత్వం రైతులకు అండగా ఉంటుందన్నారు.
రైతులకు పండించిన పంటకు గిట్టుబాటు ధర కాకుండా లాభసాటి ధర రావాలనే ఆలోచనతో ప్రభుత్వం కార్యాచరణ చేస్తోందన్నారు. రైతు భరోసా, రైతు రుణమాఫీ, రైతులకు విత్తనాలు అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకురావటం, ఐకేపీ సెంటర్లు, మార్కెట్ యార్డుల ద్వారా పంట ఉత్పత్తుల కొనుగోలు కార్యక్రమాలన్నీ చేపడుతుందన్నారు.
తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలో దాదాపు 26 రకాల పంటలు పండటానికి అనుకూలమైన భూములు, వాతావరణం ఉందని, కేవలం వరి లేదా పత్తి మిర్చీ పంటలకే పరిమితం కావద్దని రైతులకు సీఎం సూచించారు. ఇతర పంటలు సాగు చేయాలని, పంట మార్పిడి ద్వారా అధిక దిగుబడులు వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉంటుందని అన్నారు. తక్కువ నీళ్లతో, తక్కువ పెట్టుబడితో ఎక్కువ పంట దిగుబడి, ఎక్కువ లాభాలు వచ్చేలా పంటలను ప్రణాళిక చేసుకోవాలని చెప్పారు.
వ్యవసాయ శాఖ చేపట్టిన రైతు నేస్తం కార్యక్రమాన్ని రైతులందరూ సద్వినియోగం చేసుకోవాలని, దీంతో తమ సమస్యలను సమస్యలను ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టికి తీసుకు రావచ్చని అన్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం 110 సెంటర్లలో ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా అమలు చేసిన ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని భవిష్యత్తులో అన్ని గ్రామాలకు విస్తరిస్తామని చెప్పారు.
ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ భట్టి విక్రమార్క, మంత్రి శ్రీ తుమ్మల నాగేశ్వర రావు చేసిన సూచనలతో ప్రభుత్వం ఇటీవలే పంటల భీమా పథకాన్ని అమల్లోకి తెచ్చిందని గుర్తు చేశారు. రైతులు ఏదైనా ఆపదతో చనిపోతే ఆ కుటుంబాన్ని రైతు బీమా పథకం ఆదుకుంటుందని అన్నారు. రైతులు ధీమాగా బతికేందుకు వీలుగా పంటల బీమా పని చేస్తుందని చెప్పారు. పంట పెట్టుబడి పెట్టినప్పటి నుంచి కరువు వచ్చినా, వరద వచ్చినా నష్టపరిహారం అందుతుందని, రైతులు పెట్టిన పెట్టుబడి వారికి తిరిగి వస్తుందని అన్నారు. దీంతో రైతులు ఆర్థికంగా చితికిపోయే పరిస్థితి ఉండదన్నారు. ఎన్ని కష్టాలు వచ్చినా రైతులు ధైర్యం కోల్పోవద్దని, ప్రభుత్వం అండగా ఉంటుందని సీఎం అన్నారు.
