The government moved a step forward to convert the ITI colleges into advanced technical skill training centers (Skilling Centers). State Government and Tata Technologies entered an MoU to set up Skilling Centers in 65 government ITI colleges in the state. Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy held a meeting with the representatives of Tata Technologies at the Secretariat today (Saturday).
State government officials signed the agreement documents in the presence of CM Revanth, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and IT Minister Sridhar Babu. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Employment Training Department Special CS Rani Kumudini, Tata Technologies President Pawan Bageria and other representatives are also present .
The Chief Minister pointed out that a huge gap is visible between the courses offered in the institutions and the requirement of skilled manpower to the fast growing industries in various fields. The CM said that the new skill development training project is being taken up to bridge the gap and make available courses that provide more employment opportunities to the youth.
The state government is implementing this project in the ITIs at a cost of Rs.2700 crores. Tata Technologies will construct the required workshops, install machines, other equipment and also appoint tutors to provide training to the youth. As part of the project, 9 new long-term and 23 short term courses will be introduced in the ITI institutions. Skill development courses will be selected in all fields to ensure employment opportunities for the youth. 9000 people will be given admissions every year. About one lakh people will undergo training in short term courses.
The government also decided to make arrangements for the implementation of this project from this academic year (2024-25). CM Revanth Reddy instructed the representatives of Tata Technology to make workshops available for the academic session starting from October and appoint a sufficient number of tutors. The CM also asked the company representatives to focus on campus placements to provide employment to the youth soon after the completion of the training. The Chief Minister suggested to officials to set up a special placement cell.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka and IT Minister Sridhar Babu said that the government accorded top priority to make Hyderabad as a skill development hub. Efforts are being made to establish a Skill University to provide required skills for degree and engineering students in the state soon. The ministers appealed to the youth to use the new skill development training opportunity and show their talent in their interested fields.

రాష్ట్రంలోని ఐటీఐ కాలేజీలను అధునాతన సాంకేతిక నైపుణ్య శిక్షణ కేంద్రాలుగా (స్కిల్లింగ్ సెంటర్లు) తీర్చిదిద్దేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం అడుగు ముందుకేసింది. ప్రస్తుతం రాష్ట్రంలో ఉన్న 65 ప్రభుత్వ ఐటీఐ కాలేజీల్లో స్కిల్లింగ్ సెంటర్ల ఏర్పాటుకు టాటా టెక్నాలజీస్ తో ఎంవోయూ కుదుర్చుకుంది. శనివారం సచివాలయంలో టాటా టెక్నాలజీస్ ప్రతినిధులతో ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి సమావేశమయ్యారు.
సీఎంతో పాటు ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి భట్టి విక్రమార్క, ఐటీ శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీధర్బాబు సమక్షంలో అధికారులు ఎంవోయూ పత్రాలపై సంతకాలు చేశారు. ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శాంతి కుమారి, ఉపాధి శిక్షణ శాఖ స్పెషల్ సీఎస్ రాణి కుముదిని, టాటా టెక్నాలజీస్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ పవన్ బగేరియాతో పాటు ఇతర ప్రతినిధులు ఈ సమావేశంలో పాల్గొన్నారు.
వివిధ రంగాల్లో విస్తరిస్తున్న పరిశ్రమల అవసరాలకు, ఇప్పుడున్న కోర్సులకు మధ్య భారీ అంతరముందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. ఈ అంతరాన్ని తగ్గించి యువతకు ఉపాధి అవకాశాలను అందించే కోర్సులు అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకువచ్చే లక్ష్యంతో ఈ ప్రాజెక్టును చేపట్టినట్లు చెప్పారు.
రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం రూ.2700 కోట్ల ఖర్చుతో ఐటీఐలలో ఈ ప్రాజెక్టును అమలు చేస్తోంది. అవసరమైన వర్కషాప్ ల నిర్మాణంతో పాటు యంత్రపరికరాల సామగ్రితో పాటు శిక్షణను అందించే ట్యూటర్ల నియామకాన్ని టాటా టెక్నాలజీస్ చేపడుతుంది. ప్రాజెక్టులో భాగంగా ఐటీఐలలో కొత్తగా 9 లాంగ్ టర్మ్, 23 షార్ట్ టర్మ్ కోర్సులు ప్రవేశపెడుతారు. అన్ని రంగాల్లో యువత ఉపాధి అవకాశాలందించే నైపుణ్య అభివృద్ధి కోర్సులను ఎంపిక చేశారు. ప్రతి ఏడాది వీటితో 9000 మందికి అడ్మిషన్లు కల్పిస్తారు. దాదాపు లక్ష మందికి షార్ట్ టర్మ్ కోర్సుల ద్వారా శిక్షణను అందిస్తారు.
ఈ విద్యా సంవత్సరం (2024-25) నుంచే ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు అమలుకు సన్నాహాలు చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించింది. అక్టోబర్ నుంచి మొదలయ్యే అకడమిక్ సెషన్ కు వర్క్షాప్లను అందుబాటులో ఉంచాలని, సరిపడేంత మంది ట్యూటర్లను నియమించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి టాటా టెక్నాలజీ ప్రతినిధులకు సూచించారు. కేవలం శిక్షణనివ్వటమే కాకుండా యువతకు ఉపాధి కల్పించేందుకు క్యాంపస్ ప్లేస్ మెంట్లపై దృష్టి పెట్టాలని, అందుకు సహకరించాలని కోరారు. ప్రత్యేక ప్లేస్ మెంట్ సెల్ ఏర్పాటుకు సహకరించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి సూచించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా మాట్లాడిన డిప్యూటీ సీఎం భట్టి విక్రమార్క, ఐటీ శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీధర్ బాబు హైదరాబాద్ ను స్కిల్ డెవెలప్మెంట్ హబ్ గా తయారు చేసేందుకు తమ ప్రభుత్వం అత్యంత ప్రాధాన్యతను ఇస్తోందని చెప్పారు. డిగ్రీ, ఇంజనీరింగ్ విద్యార్థులకు తగిన నైపుణ్యాలను అందించేందుకు త్వరలోనే రాష్ట్రంలో స్కిల్ యూనివర్సిటీ నెలకొల్పేందుకు ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తోందని అన్నారు. అన్ని అవకాశాలను వినియోగించుకొని యువత అన్ని రంగాల్లో తమ ప్రతిభను చాటాలనే ఆకాంక్షను వ్యక్తపరిచారు.
