Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy shared his thoughts with British High Commissioner Alex Ellis that the Musi rejuvenation project will be undertaken in Hyderabad on the lines of the Thames River project in London. The CM said that, during his recent trip to London, he had specially studied the management of the Thames River and the development of the riverfront project. The CM explained to the High Commissioner the state government’s plans for Musi riverfront development and outlined the project along the lines of the Thames River.
British High Commissioner Alex Ellis at the Secretariat called on CM Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat today (Wednesday). The Chief Minister said that the government also gave priority to the preservation of the Musi River along with the development programmes on the banks of the river. The Government will carry out the project in such a way that people will benefit more. The CM said that the rejuvenation of Musi will not disturb the existence of the natural resources and ensure the protection of the environment.
The British High Commissioner expressed happiness over the CM’s vision and development of the Musi River. Ellis said that Britain will contribute to skill development and eco-tourism in the state. Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Special Secretary to CM Ajith Reddy, Deputy High Commissioner Gareth Wayne Owen and others are present.
లండన్ లోని థేమ్స్ రివర్ ప్రాజెక్టు తరహాలో హైదరాబాద్ లో మూసీ పునరుజ్జీవ ప్రాజెక్టు చేపట్టనున్నట్లు ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ రేవంత్ రెడ్డి బ్రిటిష్ హై కమిషనర్ అలెక్స్ ఎల్లిస్ తో తన ఆలోచనలను పంచుకున్నారు. ఇటీవల లండన్ పర్యటనలో అక్కడ థేమ్స్ నదిని నిర్వహిస్తున్న తీరు, రివర్ ఫ్రంట్ ప్రాజెక్టు అభివృద్ధి చేసిన తీరును ప్రత్యేకంగా అధ్యయనం చేసినట్లు చెప్పారు. అదే మోడల్ లో హైదరాబాద్ లో మూసీనదిని పునరుజ్జీవింపజేసేందుకు చేస్తున్న ప్రణాళికలను, ప్రాజెక్టుకు సంబంధించిన అవుట్ లైన్, థేమ్స్ నది తరహాలో అభివృద్ధి, తదితర అంశాలను ఆయనతో చర్చించారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ ఏ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ఈరోజు డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సచివాలయంలో బ్రిటిష్ హై కమిషనర్ అలెక్స్ ఎల్లిస్ తో భేటీ అయ్యారు. నదీ తీరాన జరిపే అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలతో పాటు నదీ సంరక్షణకు అత్యున్నత ప్రాధాన్యమిస్తున్నట్లు, నదీ జలాలను కాపాడడం ఉంచటం, ఎంచుకున్న ప్రాజెక్టు ద్వారా స్థానికులకు ఎక్కువ ప్రయోజనముండే విధంగా ఈ ప్రాజెక్టును అత్యుత్తమంగా తీర్చిదిద్దే విధంగా చర్యలుంటాయని సీఎం అన్నారు. మూసి నది అభివృద్ధిలో పర్యావరణాన్ని కాపాడుతూ, సహజ వనరులకు విఘాతం లేకుండా అభివృద్ధి చేస్తామని సీఎం అన్నారు.
నది పరీవాహిక ప్రాంత అభివృద్ధి చేపట్టటంలో సీఎం చూపుతున్న దార్శనికతకు, బ్రిటిష్ హై కమిషనర్ హర్షం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. రాష్ట్రంలో స్కిల్ డెవలప్మెంట్, ఎకో టూరిజంకు తమ సహకారం ఉంటుందని ఎల్లిస్ అన్నారు.
