Inauguration of renovated Yadadri Temple

Amid chanting hymns by the vedic pundits, Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao on Monday inaugurated the renovated Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in the Yadadri town. Reverberated by Namo Narasimha and Yadadrisha Govinda slogans, the entire temple premises was filled with devotion and spirituality. 

On the auspicious occasion, it would be appropriate to say the renovated Yadadri temple has paved way to rewrite the history of Telangana’s spiritual and religious practice in golden letters. The chief minister has put all energies with devotion to renovate the Sri Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple which is called as world famous Swayambhu Pancha Narasimha Kshetram. The Narasimha temple is also considered a famous in the Krishnashila structure.

The chief minister accompanied by his wife Smt. Shobha and other family members took part in the grand celebrations of the consecration of the renovated famous temple. At the auspicious Sravana Nakshatra Mithuna lagna Abhijit muhurtam at 11.55 am, the‘Maha Kumbha Samprokshana’, which could one of the biggest religious ceremony in the history of Telangana, was held amid vedic chants by the pundits.

Earlier, special pujas and Homams – Chaturstanarchana, Parivara Shanti, Prayatchitta homam, Baliharanam, Maha Purnahati, Kumbha Udvasana, Gartanyasam, Ratnanyasam, Yantra Pratishta, Bimba Pratishta, Asta Bandhanam, Kalaropanam, Prana Pratishta, Netronmilanam, and Drishti Kumbam were also performed.

The chief minister participated in the first Maha Kumbha Samprokshna puja and also offered special puja to Sudharshana Chakra at Divya Vimana Gopuram. Kankanadharana to the priests, Kumbahbhishekam and Samprokshana to Golden Pots (Swarana Kalashalu) on Seven Gopurams and abhishekam with Godavari waters was also performed by the chief minister.

Minsiters Sri A Indrakaran Redy, Sri G Jagadish Reddy, Sri T Harish Rao, Sri V Prashanth Reddy, Sri S Niranjan Reddy, Sri Koppula Eshwar, Sri Srinivas Goud, Sri G Kamalakar, Sri P Ajay, Sri E Dayakar Rao and Sri CH Malla Reddy were also present. Home Minister Sri Mahmood Ali, Education Minister Smt. P Sabitha Indra Reddy, MLAs and MLCs and officials also participated.

92 Rithwiks took part in the Samprokshana and performed the rituals – Kalasha Samprokshna at Vimana Gopurams. Main priest and Yagnacharyulu and a group of priests have conducted the rituals as per the Pancharatra Aagama Sastra.

The CM along with family members flown to Yadadri by a chopper at 8.52 am. KCR and wife took part in the shobha yatra of the Idols at Balalayam and also carried god’s Palanquin which marks the start of the inauguration of the renovated temple. The deities entered the temple from East Rajagopuram of the main temple at 10.39 am. Later, it proceeded to Mukha Mandapam and the priests conducted prayers different Gupurams including Vimana gopuram. At 11.40 am, the main archakas had started main puja (called as Mahasankalpam) and 11.55 am, the CM performed special puja at to Sudharshana Chakra at Divya Vimana Gopuram. Rithwiks also presented kankanam to KCR and blessed the CM couple. The ministers took part in the abhishekams at different venues at one go.

Gold plating of Gopuram and the Rajagopuram or the pyramidal structure at the temple entrance were the centre of the attraction in the renovated temple. The chief minister felicitated all the priests, architects and officials who contributed a lot in the renovation of the temple.

The Temple EO Smt. N Gita, Art Director Sri Anand Sai, Sri Stapathi Sunderarajan, YTDA Vice Chairman Sri Krishna Rao received a special felicitation with shawls from the CM. Architects Sri Madhusudhan, Sri Suddala Ashok Teja, R and B ENC Sri Ravinder Rao, Sri Ganapathi Reddy, SEs Sri Vasantha Naik, Sri Y Linga Reddy, EEs Sri M Venkateshwar Reddy, Sri VV Rama Rao, Sri K Ramesh, Technical Engineer Sri D Babu Rao, Professor Sri R Ramesh Reddy, temple sculptures Sri Balaji, Sri Adniyappan, Sri Muni,  Sri Venkat Reddy, Sri Rabbani, Sri Subbha Rao, Sri Sharavan, Sri Selvakumar, Sri Ganeshan, Sri Ravindra Chary etc were present.

Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Sri G Sukhendar Reddy, Speaker Sri P Srinivas Reddy, MPs Sri K Keshava Rao, Sri J Santhosh Kumar, Lingaiah Yadav, Sri N Nageshwara Rao, Sri M Srinivas Reddy, Sri K Prabhakar Reddy, MLCs Smt. K Kavitha, Sri Vittal, Sri Kotireddy and former MPs were also present. Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar, and CMO officials Smt. Smitha Sabarwal and Sri Bhupal Reddy and others also participated.
