Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao said that it is a great augury that Telangana State became a centre for teachings of Sri Ramanujacharya of social equality among the citizens after thousands of years. The CM said it is wonderful that the Virat statue of Sri Ramanujacharya who depicted equality among the people is being installed in Hyderabad in the Telangana State. The CM hailed that Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and his followers have done a marvelous job in installing the statue.
The CM along with his wife visited Mutchintala and participated in Sri Ramanuja Sahasrabdi Samaroh celebrations on Thursday. The Chinna Jeeyar Swamy accorded a formal welcome to the CM and his wife at his kuteer. The CM inquired about the arrangments with Chinna Jeeyar Swamy. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said, Sri Ramanujacharya had brought in revolutionary changes in the Bhakti Movement and worked for equality among all human beings thousands of years ago. He said the pilgrims who visit this holy place would get spiritual tranquility and peace. The CM said this place would become a tranquil and peaceful place for all the tourists. He said that the statue of Equality would be a pride icon of the country. He said the preaching’s given by Sri Ramanujacharya for equality is being followed by crores of people in the world. The CM expressed happiness over the way the preaching of Ramanujacharya are followed thousands of years and will be followed thousands of years later. The CM said he is happy to note that at Mutchintala, all the facilities for the comfort of the devotees of Sri Ramanujacharya are made and in future, this place would become a major pilgrim centre for the devotees. The CM predicted that the centre would soon become a favourite spiritual and pilgrim spot in the world. He said this would become another spiritual centre for the crores of followers of Sri Ramanuja. He said that the Telangana State would further make its progress with the divine blessings of Sri Ramanuja. He said he would continue the spirit of Sri Ramanujacharya, who is above castes and class and creed. The CM said that it is a great endeavour that Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy took the responsibility of collecting the funds and other arrangements. The CM said he congratulated the Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and mission for the efforts.
The CM said that the state government would take all the necessary responsibilities for the function. He said from his family they would offer fruits and Prasadams for the Pandits. Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy thanked the CM and the government for their support and cooperation. He said Vedic Scholars from Karnataka, Tirupathi, Nepal and other Vaishnavite centres would grace the occasion. He said he is happy that the state government is arranging transport for the pilgrims to come to the Centre. He said the revenue; police, Electricity, water and sanitization departments are cooperating. Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy explained the ten day programme to the CM.
The CM took blessings from the Chinna Jeeyar Swamy and enquired about the arrangements. The CM went wound the place and supervised the arrangements. The CM did pradhakshina around Sri Ramanujacharya Statue. The CM played the Maha Ghanta, which is weighed 1260 Kgs and 4 and half feet height. The CM viewed the paintings of Sri Ramanachary. The CM inaugurated the Sathvik dining hall and a pre view theatre. The CM watched the short film on Sri Ramanuja’s life. The CM supervised the Command and Control Center for the visit of the President and the PM.
In this programme, CM’s wife Smt. Shobamma, MP Sri J Santosh Kumar, MLCs Sri P Srinivas Reddy, Sri Naveen Rao, AP MLAs Ms. Roja, Sri Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and others participated.
