Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao has decided that the State government would attend the KRMB meeting scheduled on September 1st. The CM has instructed the Irrigation officials to put forth their strong arguments about the rightful share of Telangana state in the Krishna River waters. The CM also guided the officials on the strategy to be adapted on the matter.
The CM held a high-level review meeting with officials at Pragathi Bhavan here on Wednesday on the agenda of the KRMB meeting. Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar, Irrigation Special Chief Secretary Sri Rajat Kumar, CM Secretaries Ms. Smita Sabharwal, Sri Bhoopal Reddy, Irrigation E-in-C Sri Muralidhar, CM OSD Sri Sridhar Rao Deshpande, Former Advocate General Sri Ramakrishna Reddy, Senior Advocate with Brijesh Kumar Tribunal Sri Ravinder Rao, Inter-State Department Chief Engineer Sri Mohan Kumar, SE Sri Koteshwar Rao, and other higher officials participated.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM reiterated that strong arguments should be put forth before KRMB and other Tribunals about the legal share of Krishna waters of the State. The CM has instructed the officials to put forth their arguments effectively with authoritative information.
