PM held a VC with CMs of all the states

Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao has urged the people in Telangana state to follow all the Covid guidelines, wear masks, take all precautions, and be alert to contain the spread of Covid. The CM suggested that in the crowd rush places like Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchel districts people in Corporations and Municipalities should be more alert.

The CM participated in the videoconference organized by Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi on Thursday. The CM later held a review meeting with the Medical and Health Officials on the situation arised out of the Corona pandemic.

In this review meeting, Ministers Sri Etela Rajender, Ms Satyavathi Rathod, MLAs Sri Peddireddi Sudarshan Reddy, Sri Harshavardhan Reddy, Government’s Chief Advisor Sri Rajiv Sharma, Principal Secretary (Finance) Sri Ramakrishna Rao, Secretary (Medical and Health) Sri Rizvi, medical and Health Director Dr Srinivas Rao, DME Sri Ramesh Reddy, MD TS ESMESS IDC Sri Chandrashekhar, Medical Advisor Dr T Gangadhar and others participated.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM instructed the officials concerned to increase the Corona tests, as there is a surge in the Corona cases. He said all the front-line workers should be vaccinated cent percent. The CM wanted the entire process should be completed in a week’s time.

In this context, the CM spoke to DGP Sri M Mahender Reddy, Principal Secretary (Panchayat Raj) Sri Sandeep Sultania, Principal Secretary (MAUD) Sri Arvind Kumar, GHMC Commissioner Sri Lokesh Kumar, and Principal Secretary (Transport) Sri Sunil Sharma over the phone. The CM instructed that the staff and employees in these departments should be vaccinated cent percent. The CM also instructed that the vaccination progress should be reported to the CMO every day by the department heads concerned.

The CM said Collectors and other district level officers should hold a videoconference and launch a special drive for the vaccinations. The CM said to increase the testing, in all the districts RTPCR tests should be conducted in large numbers in the districts. The CM instructed the officials to get the RTPCR test kits made available.

The CM instructed the medical and health officials to set up test centres in Gadwal, Wanaparthy, Khammam, Nirmal, Mancherial, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Jagtial, Pedapalli, Ramagundam, Bhongir, Jangaon, and Vikarabad.

The CM said that for the Corona curtailment, the wearing of masks should be implemented strictly. If the people do not wear masks they should be fined Rs 1000 per person. He wanted the DGP to instruct the police department to enforce this mask rule stringently. The CM urged all those who crossed the age limit of 45 years to get vaccinated.
